Lo studiocristinadelponte è stato aperto nel 2000 ed ha realizzato oltre 40 esposizioni con lo scopo di presentare il lavoro di artisti che operano nell'ambito della ricerca contemporanea a livello nazionale e internazionale.
Dal 2004 si è reso promotore di due eventi denominati Interazioni che hanno preso vita coinvolgendo artisti, pubblico e territorio. Negli ultimi due anni ha inoltre intrapreso varie collaborazioni con l'intento di contribuire al lavoro per la promozione dell'arte contemporanea, cercando di promuovere la sinergia fra strutture con lo scopo di mettere in luce la scena degli spazi privati ed indipendenti locali.
Nel 2006 ha ricevuto il riconoscimento federale ed ha collaborato anche con le istituzioni pubbliche in occasione della Notte bianca coordinando gli eventi espositivi della Città e presentando l'esposizione "Leggerezza nel contemporaneo" al Museo Casorella di Locarno. Nel periodo estivo ha promosso e curato l'esposizione "Omaggio a Johannes Gachnang" che ha avuto in parte luogo alla Pinacoteca Comunale Casa Rusca di Locarno.
The studiocristinadelponte, which was opened in the year 2000, has realized more than 40 exhibitions showing the works of artists who operate in the contemporary research area at national and international level.
Since 2004 it has promoted two events called "Interazioni" which in their activities have involved the artists, the public and the territory. The 2006 event was organized by the same Association, which has organized the exhibition "Kunsthalle?" collaborating with 6 spaces for the contemporary research.
Moreover, during the last two years the Studio has started various collaborations contributing to the promotion of the contemporary art in the "locarnese", trying to consolidate the synergy of the structures with the purpose of highlighting the scene of the local private and independent spaces (SPAC – Spaces for Contemporary Art )
The 2006 program, has created four exhibitions thanks to the support of the Ufficio Federale della Cultura, of the Fondation Nestle per l'Arte and of the Percento Culturale Migros. During the year were created some other collaborations, some of them not foreseen in the first draft of the program, in particular the group exhibition "In between" by the Nomura Cultural Foundation (Japan) and the Notte Bianca program.
This year has been characterized, in particular,by the collaboration with the public institutions, a desired synergy with the aim to widen the space dedicated to the contemporary art and to boost the ordinary public to discover the various exhibition spaces available in Locarno
In this way the artstudiocristinadelponte has promoted programmed and coordinated some exhibitions of the Town of Locarno and presented the exhibition "Lightness in contemporary art" at the Casorella Museum during the First Swiss edition of the Notte Bianca. Last summer promoted and curated the exhibition "Homage to Johannes Gachnang" that took place also at the Pinacoteca Comunale Casa Rusca of Locarno.
